Lo que sucedió en la final del reciente mundial de fútbol entre Zidane y Materazzi aún tiene sus repercusiones en la publicidad.

Hace un tiempo atrás publiqué un aviso para una cerveza haciendo alusión al hecho y aquí les presento un spot de Nike (de seguro realizado por una agencia italiana).

Me enteré a través de I Believe in Adv, donde el autor interpreta el mensaje como una pugna no entre Italia y Francia, sino que entre Nike y Adidas (sponsor de la selección francesa). Sin embargo, si ese fuese el caso, o aún cuando efectivamente corresponde a una rivalidad entre las dos marcas creo que Nike (o Italia) salen más mal parados ya que como podemos ver en el video, Materazzi claramente puede aguantar bastante en su pecho… pero un cabezazo de Zidane… no!?.

What happened in the recent World Cup final between Zidane and Materazzi still has its repercussions in advertising. A time ago I published a post regarding a brand of beer doing reference to the incident, and here I present a spot from Nike (surely made by an Italian agency).

I found this at “I Believe in Adv”, where the author interprets the message as a struggle not between Italy and France, but that between Nike and Adidas (sponsor of the French selection). Nevertheless, if that were the case, or even though indeed it corresponds to a rivalry between the two brands I believe that Nike (or Italy) comes out short handed, as we can see in the video, Materazzi can clearly hold great amount of pain on his chest… but not(?!) a headbutt from Zidane?
